How can we Help?
Answers to your questions below about waterproofing, installation, and our guarantee.
Product & Technology
Is No swell really 100% waterproof?
Yes, completely. No swell is made from a unique co-extruded proprietary formula. Water cannot soak into it, so it will never rot, swell, or support mould growth. It is permanently protected against moisture.
How does it compare to MDF or traditional wood?
Standard wood and MDF absorb water, causing them to swell and fail in damp areas. No swell offers the look and ease of wood, but it is immune to water damage. It maintains its size and shape permanently, even in high-humidity areas like bathrooms.
Is No swell trim durable and scratch-resistant?
Yes, the material is engineered for resilience. It is highly durable and impact-resistant, standing up well to everyday bumps and wear. Unlike wood, it will not easily chip, crack, or split, ensuring a flawless look for decades.

Installation & Finish
How do I deal with joints and seams for a perfect finish?
How should I clean and maintain the trim?
No swell is virtually maintenance-free. For cleaning, use a soft cloth or sponge with warm, soapy water. Never use harsh, solvent-based chemicals, abrasive cleaners, or stiff brushes, as they can dull or damage the surface.
Do I need special tools to cut it?
No special tools are required. You can use your existing power and hand tools (like your mitre saw) to cut, router, and shape Noswell, just as you would with wood. Using a sharp, carbide-tipped blade will ensure the best, smoothest cut.
Do I need to paint No swell products?
Painting is not mandatory, as the product comes with a smooth, ready-to-use finish. If you choose to paint, we recommend a high-quality 100% acrylic latex paint designed for use on plastic surfaces.
What adhesive should I use?
For a strong, permanent, and watertight bond, use a high-quality, all-weather, or polyurethane construction adhesive. This type of glue will ensure the trim stays fixed and provides an extra layer of protection at the joints.
